Celebrating 10 years, VELVENOIR has curated art collections globally, from private homes in Vancouver to Palma to luxury hotels like Mandarin Oriental Savoy Zurich. Grateful for our clients’ trust and support, and the dedication of our team and partners, we continue to transform spaces and bring art to life. Here’s to many more inspiring years.

Today, we celebrate a significant milestone: 10 years of VELVENOIR. Over the past decade, our art collective has grown tremendously. We’ve had the privilege of building collections for private collectors in Zurich, Vancouver, New York, and Palma, while also curating contemporary art collections for renowned boutique hotels such as Alex Lake Zurich, Andaz Prague, and the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich. We are currently working on another exciting luxury hospitality project in Germany and Obertauern.

As we look back on the past 10 years, we are reminded of our humble beginnings and the vision that has guided us. VELVENOIR was born from a passion for making art accessible and creating meaningful connections between artists, collectors, hotels and real estate properties. What started as a small idea in the Australian Outback has evolved into an international art consultancy, working intimately and professionally with all those we encounter.

Our projects, from private collections to residential and hospitality / commercial endeavors, now span multiple countries, including Austria, the United States, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Croatia. Each project is a testament to our dedication to contemporary art, hospitality, and professionalism.

Our collaborations, whether at large-scale hotels or within the intimacy of a home, are rooted in the shared journey between us, the artists, the collectors and our diverse clientele. This partnership requires diligence, sensibility, and a personalized approach. Dialogue and cooperation are essential to our work, while at the same time connecting disciplines to make these art collections alive are at the front of our mind.

At VELVENOIR, we are constantly reminded of the complex, the beautiful, and the vital. Visual art demands an audience, inviting us to witness, encounter, and hold space for its many nuances. Our mission goes beyond simply finding the right audience for an artist’s work or curating the proper look and feel of a space. We are driven by the work to transform and enliven spaces through mutual dialogue and exchange.

As we celebrate 10 years, we are also celebrating those who have made this journey possible. We honor the many works that have passed through our hands, the passionate team who make it all happen, and the people who support, view, and collect.
