At Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, art is not confined to galleries or suites — it extends into the very spaces where ideas are exchanged and futures are shaped. VELVENOIR was entrusted to curate a corporate art collection that would transform the hotel’s meeting rooms and event venues into environments of cultural depth and sophistication.
The collection features 25 commissioned works, with a strong emphasis on female voices in contemporary art. Each piece was selected to complement Zurich’s layered identity — a city where history and innovation meet. In spaces such as the opulent ballroom and the historic Zunftzimmer, the works create a dialogue between past and present, tradition and reinvention.
Here, meetings unfold against backdrops that are not only functional, but intentionally poetic. Art becomes an active participant — framing conversations, inspiring reflection, and lending resonance to every exchange.
