creative alliance | art week madrid

What began as a night of inspiration during the Nit de l´Art  in Palma evolved into a deeper collaboration. Alexandra Schafer, founder of VELVENOIR, and Marc Bibilioni, gallerist and curator, shared a vision: to create an art experience that extended beyond traditional spaces—one that fostered meaningful connections between artists, collectors, and cultural partners.

This vision came to life during this year’s Art Week Madrid. Marc Bibilioni took the lead in curating a group exhibition at the future headquarters of Fundación Studiolo. The venue—a construction site in transition—symbolized the essence of contemporary art: dynamic, evolving, and full of potential.

The heart of the project revolved around works by Ela Fidalgo, Manu Garcia, Miju Lee, Michael Staniak, Anna Nero, Peb Llambias, Bianca Baradun, and Candela A. Soldevilla, a longtime patron and collector whose unwavering support made this unique setting possible.

While the curation took shape, VELVENOIR’s Founder Alexandra Schafer personally invited international collectors and facilitated the collaboration with 1800 Tequila, a globally recognized brand committed to supporting the arts—turning the evening into a testament to the power of collaboration between art and cultural brands, reinforcing an immersive experience.

As guests navigated the space, enveloped by Bibilioni’s thoughtfully selected works, a palpable synergy emerged. Conversations flowed, new connections formed, and the boundaries between collector, artist, and patron dissolved. This event transcended a mere exhibition; it was an alliance in motion, celebrating art as a living, breathing force shaping the future.

For Marc Bibilioni, this marked the first step toward the grand opening of its new Madrid space in 2025. For VELVENOIR, it was another milestone in a mission that extends far beyond curating private collections—it was a step forward in fostering creative partnerships, curating meaningful encounters, and redefining the way contemporary art is experienced.

This was not just a night in Madrid, it was the beginning of something far greater.
