The Andaz Prague is a luxury hotel sitting right in the city’s cultural heart. Our goal from the get-go was to connect our collection with the city and its fantastic folklore. And so, after an extensive research process, the Andaz Walk of Myths came to life – a one-of-a-kind concept focusing on a dynamic art experience.
Collaborating with a specially selected roster of local and international artists, our interdisciplinary team brought the historic city’s history to life, in a collection inhabited by the protagonists of some of its most famous myths and legends. With each story interpreted individually by the artists, classic characters like Princess Libuše, Knight Bruncvik, and the White Lion come back to life through the uniquely curated collection.

So how does it work? The permanent art collection our team commissioned and curated inside the hotel links up to each of the city’s iconic landmarks. Upon scanning the QR code on their accompanying booklet, hotel guests are invited to begin a self-guided 1.5hr trip across the city via Google Maps, to discover for themselves how each site is connected to the collection and represented by a different Czech myth or legend. Each piece opens up a new dimension to both the hotel and to the city, offering the guest an incomparable experience.
