BLUE CHIP ART BROKERAGE - NEW DEPARTMENT ADDED TO VELVENOIR managed by established Art Advisor Catherine Asquith, for VELVENOIR
Adding an additional service to the global art concierge – Blue Chip Art brokerage, managed by established Art Advisor Catherine Asquith, for VELVENOIR. Asquith manages high-end off-market art transactions for international clients and assists with any matter concerning the secondary art market.
VELVENOIR, international art consultancy and concierge, today announced the new service managed by art advisor Catherine Asquith – Blue Chip Art Brokerage, as an additional service to the global VELVENOIR art concierge. For collectors seeking an efficient, cost-effective and discrete avenue for either acquisition or de-accession, Catherine Asquith, will now provide such an option.
The demand for blue-chip art has increased over the years, therefore VELVENOIR decided to add its own Blue Chip Art Brokerage as part of the art concierge services, managed by established Art Advisor within the secondary art market Catherine Asquith. The focus of this service is facilitating acquisitions for private, corporate and institutional collections. With a vast and importantly, reputable, network of arts professionals, commercial galleries, art consultants and advisors, Velvenoir’s clients will be availed an impartial and educated selection of premium quality artworks with impeccable provenance, making for a sustainable and curatorial-sound collection.
Traditionally, the art market can be viewed as rather opaque in terms of locating an appropriate venue or buyer, and ascertaining a market-ready price. Catherine Asquith will provide our valued clients with recommendations for selected avenues through which to sell the artwork or collection, whilst at the same time, remaining mindful of their financial objectives.
“Receiving various different secondary art enquiries via our clients and the network, we decided to create our own Blue Chip Art Brokerage department as part of our art concierge services – which will be managed by Catherine Asquith. For me, it was important to ensure this department was taken over by someone who is an absolute expert in the field, who not only brings in over 20 years of know-how and well-established and trusted relationships within the secondary market but also ensures that all necessary due diligence will have been met on our clients’ behalf before proceeding with the negotiation.” Alexandra Schafer – Managing Director, VELVENOIR
With this new service, VELVENOIR assists their international clients with their secondary market enquiries. Catherine Asquith will provide timely and efficient guidance throughout the acquisition process, from assessing condition reports to negotiating the transaction to transporting the work to your preferred premises. An essential component in maintaining the value, condition and ultimately, the integrity of your collection, is professional asset management practices. As such, Velvenoir’s Blue Chip Art Brokerage will meet these necessary requirements with professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
“As a member of Velvenoir’s international network, an amalgam of global expertise across numerous markets, I felt it was incumbent upon us to provide this valued service to our clientele. Moreover, by providing a Blue Chip brokerage service, Velvenoir is clearly addressing a changing art market and infrastructure. Our Managing Director, Alexandra Schafer has a clear vision for Velvenoir, and has been insightful enough to entertain and indeed, implement this value-added service. I am delighted to have been appointed to manage Velvenoir’s Blue Chip Brokerage”. Catherine Asquith – Art Advisor.
