Art unites…

ART ENCOUNTERS – A CONCEPT HOSTED  IN VIENNA DURING THE INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR VIENNACONTEMPORARY

This collaborative concept – was created with a mission to host private art encounters in an intimate setting where invited guests are able to enjoy an open dialog with exhibiting artists, gallerist and international experts within the arts, finance and hospitality– in a more “personal way” during an international fair.

The curated and conceptual event series, allowing clients to explore, interact and meet the world of art in a personal yet new manner. Yet behind the closed doors of the gallery, one can find emerging art from England, which was curated by Robert Sheffield. The group show “It’s not there till it´s there” featured art from Simeon Barclay and Hannah Perry as well as a project room from artist Tiago Tebet. On both days, invited guests, collectors and clients enjoyed a cocktail evening with a private wine tasting by Goedwinemakers as well as a family style art dinner prepared by Chef Bjoern Necas, personal speeches about the collaboration and background behind as well as network opportunities, made those events one of a kind.

This concept aims to provide valuable insights into the European art market as well as getting to know experts from various cities who share exclusive insights about the global market with a focus on art, finance and hospitality. Through those encounters, the concept focuses on to educate, inspire and make contemporary art accessible to an international clientele with a personal approach.

Wiener Privatbank has a strong entrepreneurial background: in terms of the proprietors, the management and also our subsidiaries. The team behind Wiener Privatbank understands their customer’s wishes, needs and problems very well, because we see things through the same lense. The bank sees part of their operation towards a social responsibility. So far the bank supported classical music with its own cultural price and has been moving towards contemporary arts and emerging artists to bring the international art scene to their discerning clients closer

“Through our private event series and bespoke concept, we aim to create unusual events that captures the imagination but at the same time allows clients to connect and network next to contemporary art. Overall, I believe those private art gatherings allow aspiring collectors to explore a new of collecting contemporary art  – completely away from the traditional way of collecting since we do aim to create a personal experience all along throughout those events and in collaboration with our partners.” – Alexandra Schafer, VELVENOIR

An open dialogue with exhibiting artists such as Simeon Barclay who attended the art dinner on Friday with international experts within the arts who joined from VELVENOIR, finance experts from Wiener Privatbank and hospitality were another focus, guests networked in a more “personal way” and shared valuable insights into various markets.
