German/Swedish undergraduate studying at the London School of Economics, working in the art&design sector. Through travelling and growing up in a culturally diverse environment, I have always been exposed to different perspectives of how people perceive their surroundings. In an increasingly commercialised economy, I believe the impact of using original artwork has strengthened, as it becomes an asset to differentiate and elevate a space from its competitors. The tailored application of art and design allows people to create bespoke environments which generate an entirely personalised atmosphere and experience – one that cannot be mimicked.
Art is not restricted in it’s implications – it can inspire, add value or strengthen a brand – and may be utilised in all areas of business (such as hospitality, corporate, residential) as well as leisure. It is this flexibility which makes art consultancy and the application of art such an intriguing and creative process, as every project at Velvenoir is subject to its own financial as well as aesthetic preferences. I am thrilled to be part of the VELVENOIR team, involving myself in various activities that cover all PR and marketing related areas, as well as assisting in sourcing and proposing art collections.
