Über uns

Mark Maxwell’s art extends across multiple disciplines: painting, sculpture, video art, film-making, and theatre. A common feature of Maxwell’s work is the use of transformation to reveal hidden aspects of his materials, such as in his video work of metals undergoing chemical reactions, or his 2008 installation Positive Negative (St Bartholomew the Great, London), featuring a decomposing metal crucifix projected onto a wax curtain formed of thousands of melted church candles.
